Different pronunciation.

Well it is very simple, guys.

If the letter ‘a’ is part of the stressed syllable in the word

so the syllable that you emphasize

it is pronounced “a”.

An open sound like, “accident”.

If it isn't part of the stressed syllable,

it's a closed “e” sound likeaccuse”.

accident

accuse

Now of course you will ask me, “Well, yes, but I mean how do I know where

the stress is?”.

Well that's the tricky part, guys.

the pronunciation is ‘a’.

If it's not, it's ‘e’.
